While we stayed in Florence, we had one day trips to the cities of Sienna, San Gimignano and Lucca de Toscany Hill. All were charming and picturesque peoples of Tuscany and enjoying the churches, city squares, architecture and purchases. After a full day in Sienna and San Gimignano, we ended the day in a beautiful winery. It was such a memorable visit to the beautiful hills of Tuscany.
If you missed my first publication of this trip from Italy, make sure you update with Florence. We travel with Tours from forward ahead And I recommend this experience of experienced tourism. We have nothing more than good things to say about traveling with a group. They get all the fear of traveling and simply show up, ready to see things that I had never seen before.
I was in Sienna 35 years ago and it was good to see him again. It is an impressive city with beautiful architecture and narrow cobblestones.
All the peoples of Italy look similar, but they all have such a beautiful atmosphere and it is nice to see them all.
We walk by Sienna with a guide, listening to part of the history of the area and notable characteristics.
Around every corner there is an impressive view with stone streets.
This yellow color of many of the buildings is the norm in Italy. I love the tones off of architecture.
I always love the unique doors of Italy.
Looking inside the window window.
A charming restaurant with outdoor seats.
How beautiful is this view?
And this, colors and textures are simply incredible.
Each street has a beautiful view.
More Sienna doors.
Time for a selfie.
The cathedral in Sienna was my favorite. Wait until you see inside! This black and white marble duomo is impressive.
Let’s go in!
I think we all gasp when we enter. Isn’t it impressive?
Black and white is such an impressive characteristic.
Those huge marble columns were incredible.
Remaining without adjectives to describe it.
A more prominent point is the bright frescoes of the 16th century in the Piccolomini Library.
On the floor. Marble in Italy is really impressive and is everywhere.
Surely we enjoy our day in the cities of Toscan Hill.
The field or square of the city of Sienna.
We have ice cream and snacks and we made some shopping.
Gelato almost every day!
Can you see how big this square is?
It is a very large city square, the center of the city.
Driving on the hillside, we saw many vineyards.
Next stop, Midieval San Giamignano. We didn’t have much time to explore here, but we had time to relax and lunch, so that is what we did.
The vineyards in the background.
The field is really impressive.
Here is a group photo of our group of 15. We had a fun group of people and enjoyed our bus trips.
Lunch time and a cold drink.
Our table had pizza.
I had a delicious fungal paste.
I love to see clothes hanging outside from the windows. All these years are still happening.
Last stop of the day, a vineyard tour of Viñedo Sangiovese.
It was an impressive vineyard and had a room prepared for wine tasting.
They also have outdoor cabins for meetings.
Our little dishes and wine samples. They had many guys to try, but we are not knowledgeable of wines, so the wines lost us. I enjoy some whites more than the reds. All the food was delicious!
The room spider lamp is not beautiful?
Outdoor photo sessions.
Bottles in the cabin.
The cabins were also really beautiful.
Here is another group shot that I forgot to add in the post of the town I did, this was from the dinner of the town. We all loved this excursion too.
The next day, we had a stop in Lucca on our way to the Italian Riviera, where we visited Cinque Terre.
Lucca was also a lovely city and we had time for lunch here.
This is where the rain began, so we had to buy some umbrellas to walk down the street.
We had rain dried by the rest of our tour, but it wasn’t so bad. He did not stop us and continue forward. At least it was just a drizzle.
Lucca had some lovely buildings like all villages.
More majestic doors.
And Churches, we saw so many churches. For the last day, we were all in the church and when our tour guide asked us if we wanted to travel the church in Lake as, we said no. We only wanted to go and sit next to the water and eat.
They are beautiful, but after Sienna Duomo, that was very difficult to overcome.
I loved this street.
A famous composer.
And another church, the Di San Martino cathedral.
So much beauty to assimilate.
The domes and colors are really extraordinary.
Beautiful doors.
We finished our afternoon in Lucca in this picturesque restaurant, Osteria Tosca. Not everyone stayed together, but some of us went here and we loved our food.
He had sword fish and was delicious.
The next stop is Cinque Terra and the beautiful Italian Riviera. It really is beautiful and it was a pleasure to see it. I had never been in the 5 villages on the coast before, so I was very waiting for me to arrive and did not disappoint me. We did not go at 5, but we went to 3: Riomaggiore, Vernazza and Monterosso and we took the train to get there and boats to go from one town to another. That was a great adventure! Our next hotel stop was Rapallo and this was also a beautiful coastal city. I hope you are enjoying my photos, I was sure I had fun taking them. It is difficult to make these shorter publications since I am so heavy, but I can’t help it. This is just a fraction of the images I took, so I tried to share the best. I will have at least 2 more publications to share.
