evidence of faith – Re-Fabbed

Pinterest

We recently had a mini snowstorm in our city of western Kentucky. While the prediction of many snow inches did not materialize completely, we ended up enough to be out of school for three days. (Northern, do not frown on our lack of capacity to function in the snow). I currently have two dogs: a cushopoo and a cavapoo. Of course, when it is snowy or rainy, they cannot put a unified schedule and, therefore, I have to put on my coat, gloves, socks and boots for what it feels like a million times to take them outside. After a few days, I looked through my door when I was in one of my 1,000 trips and looked at all the footprints and leg prints throughout the backyard. Any person who could pass could look at the patio and know that the owner had dogs. There was evidence throughout the patio.

While looking at the impressions throughout my patio, God brought my thoughts about my Christian faith. Does my life show so much evidence that I am a Christian as my patio showed that I own a dog? Can others look at my life and see true evidence of my faith?

Matthew’s Gospel says: “In the same way, let your good actions shine so that everyone will see it, so that everyone praises your heavenly Father. ” Matthew 5:16

What good works should others see as evidence in our lives? What “snow impressions” should be evident for others to know about our faith?

“But the Holy Spirit produces this type of fruit in our lives: Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, kindness and self -control. “ Galatians 5: 22-23a

The fruit of the Spirit is evidence of a life lived in Christ. When unbelievers see these characteristics in our lives, they notice a difference. How often these characteristics are tested in your life? When others see these characteristics in our lives, our Father must draw glory in heaven. People realize when our lives are dominated by the fruit of the spirit in our interactions with each other and in our lives in general. Just when the evidence left in the snow led others to know about my four -legged friends, the evidence of the fruit of the Spirit in our lives will demonstrate our relationship with Christ and evidence of our faith.
