As someone who obtains their degree in education, ends its last semester by completing a teaching task of students in a local school. This is good for a variety of reasons, but one of the best parts is that it is assigned to a veteran teacher (hopefully, a good one) and that person can give him all the advice, tricks and other things that have learned through their time in education. I can remember during my student teaching process, listen to all kinds of advice from my assigned teacher, but also only other educators in the school system. There were some things that were fun like “When you have your first high school classroom, don’t let children see you smile until Thanksgiving.” While they really did not mean that, they referred to the importance of establishing classroom management. Another was: “Be sure to be kind to the secretary and the janitor, they really direct the school.” But there was one serious. They said: “Be careful with the other teachers with whom you surround yourself. If you go to the Teacher Room at Lunch and everything is a negative talk, avoid the living room. “

It is important who you surround yourself with. This may be true in a work environment and also in your personal life. Who do you surround yourself can have a great impact on your life. Place a group of people who complain about their work and soon their mentality will begin to change their work. Go with the people who complain about their church and soon their mentality will begin to change their church. This is true basically in any area of our lives.

In the book of numbers, the Israelites had just been released from the slavery of the Egyptians and had begun their journey to the promised land. God had provided Maná every day as food for his trip. Every morning, they woke up and discovered that Maná had provided them to use them for their livelihood for the day. But being delivered to slavery and provided with food every day was not enough.

“Then the foreign joke that was traveling with the Israelites began to yearn for the good things of Egypt. And the people of Israel also began to complain. ‘Oh, for a little meat! They exclaimed. ‘We remember the fish we used to eat for free in Egypt. And we had all the cucumbers, melons, leeks, onions and garlic that we wanted. But now our appetites are gone. Everything we ever eat is Maná! ‘ Numbers 11: 4-6

What is crazy is that this foreign chusma did not even have to leave Egypt. Most likely they were not in the slavery of slavery, but chose to join the Israelites on their trip. But here they are and now they are dissatisfied. And what do they do? They complain. And what does that carry? The people of Israel complain. These people who had just been released from slavery now complain. God had saved them from a life of slavery and are now more concerned about what they are eating that the freedom they have.

Who do you surround yourself can make a big difference in your perspective for the day, week, situation, etc. Pass around and become a claim. Hang the lifters and make it edifying. Be a positive influence for others and surrounds those who are directed in the same direction. And when necessary, avoid the living room.
